I learned after upgrading my website www.crosbyscorner.net (shameless plug), that I needed to embrace this whole picture on social media thing. Therefore if you read #53, “Yum Hum, Too, Also,” you saw the picture/artwork. My wife took that picture. I know; she did a wonderful job. However, to quote Paul Harvey’s “The rest of the story,” there is a whole lot more to that story that I would like to share with you now. First of all, you should know it took 17 pictures to get the right picture that we used for that spot.
Next, you should also know that I really hate having my picture taken. Whether it is #1 or #17, I just don’t like having my picture taken. Oh, sure, get me with people, any people or group of people I’m a virtual, “Here, take my picture, please!” But by myself, I’d prefer not to do it. However, in #54, “Lost and Found” ( another shameless plug), I’m with my Prince of a dog, Varian, and I have no problem with sharing the frame with that ham, I mean dog.
So, as I’m always quick to point out, I don’t do pictures all that well. I will do them… but… well, to prove my point, let me use the information I have already given above. First, the first photos I took them and it was all by myself. They were good. However, never one to be happy just taking a couple of photos, I had myself holding the box of drink mix, while my wife took the pictures with my camera phone. Numbers one through five were fine. Two of them were me in glasses, which weren’t bad. However, when I do stuff to complement my writing, I usually don’t wear my glasses. After the next two, my wife shouts at me, “Show me some teeth! And I lose my composure, and it took me several minutes to get to the strait face again. In the next three, my jaw was tight, and in fact, in the middle one, I look like someone who is either passing gas or passing a kidney stone. The last two were of me, same tight jaw, same goofy face.
Now the best part of this whole thing is, do you remember me telling you I took two pictures of just the box of drink mix? That’s the one I decided to use. However, just to prove that I am both an honest and trustful person. I’m going to show you the one of me passing gas or a kidney stone. If you don’t mind, I would like you to share your comments about the picture. Go ahead. I already know it isn’t very good. But I have to tell you I showed it to others, and they laughed, I laughed, and if you need a good laugh, maybe it can work well for you. Release some stress, maybe??
Anyway, until next time enjoy this time of your life. If you can’t laugh at yourself, feel free to laugh at me. Why not? Everyone else is. MUH!!
