Using the Covid-19 Pandemic as the backdrop for this story, we find Lord Brighton teetering on the edge. He has already lost his beloved wife, Marigold, from the disease, and now, Colin, his oldest son, has taken ill and is hanging by a thread. Brighton decides that he can’t let his son go without giving him a fighting chance. So, he sends to America for the only woman Colin ever loved, Laci Merrimen. It is requested that she also bring along the child Colin never knew he had.
Once mother and son arrive at Greyhouse, located on the outskirts of Leeds, England, the two families must work to see if broken hearts can be mended and if young love can survive between someone of station and a young man who grew up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, never knowing that he could very well be the last hope for wavering empire known as Fauntleroy. –David C.
